NibbleNet 1.25"

I could not be more satisfied with the hole size and texture of these webbing bags. However, please don't buy one of these if your horse is not already an expert at a slow feeder bag with larger holes. My horses need to have a slower than normal slow feeder, and this is one of my favorites! Except when I have a round bale, I use this every day. It is easy to load and carry hay from the feed room. The vinyl sides do eventually show superficial cracking through the color layer, but they have held up for me without any rips. These are designed to be hung up on a wall or hay tree post, but NibbleNet has other products (with feeding openings in all sizes) designed for use down at ground level.

Hi JoAnn-
I just joined this group tonight :-) and I'm looking through the past postings to learn more info and this thread caught my attention because I am using Nibblenets and have been for a year so I thought I'd contribute my experience in case it might be of use to anyone.
First of all, despite most of the photos on their website showing the bags hanging up, I have used all of my various styled Nibble Nets down inside of my feeders so that my animals can eat in a normal position and not have any of the risks associated with hanging bags (from torqued neck muscles to breathing in the dust etc). Some feeders I just throw the filled bag in or I toss it on the ground (their favorite way to use it) so they can paw at it (no shoes here and the webbing holes seems safer to me than most netting I've seen) and move it around in the snow (it does get frozen by the end of the day but it softens up in the barn).
I started out with the "ground feeders" and I asked for the "slow and slower" version because that gives you 2 inch holes on one side of the bag and 1 1/2 inch holes on the other side of the bag. This was useful so that my horses and donkeys could get used to eating this way with the larger 2 inch holes before I used the other side making it slow them down even more. Some of my feeders I installed eye bolts and used the double sided clips to hold the bag down.
The other advantage of having both size holes is that one of the farms I get hay from produces lovely leafy grass hay which they can pull through the smaller holes but the other farm produces stemmier hay that is nearly impossible for them to pull through the small 1 1/2 inch holes but they can get it out of the 2 inch holes.
Just last week NibbleNet.com just came out with a full bale sized bag called the "Plenty"!! So I have ordered one of those. These only come with the 1 1/2 inch holes right now.
