Tough-1 hay bag defect

My friend bought one of those and it fell apart in a day. She wasn't too pleased and contacted Chick's saddlery and they basically said "tough luck" and did not offer to fix it or exchange it. Thought that was pretty lame...

I bought some of those bags on clearance and ended up cutting out the mesh and using them as traditional hay bags in my trailer. I much prefer the standard SMHN - I've had some for 3 years of heavy use and they are still working well.

Thanks for those comments, Bearcat & Peggy! Not surprised to hear they had to clearance them out. Hope they realize it was a quality issue, not a design problem.

Well, the big open top was kind of a design problem. And the mesh not extending onto the botoom like NibbleNets do, but I meant that the small-mesh idea was not the reason nobody wanted those!
