Round Bales

Although it took me years to decide to try it, I finally started using round bales. After finding a trusted supplier, the next most important thing was to find the right restricted-free-choice feeding method for my horses. Knowing me, of course I tried my own experimental version first... Fortunately, there are now several options now available to reduce or eliminate wasted hay when feeding round bales. This little section of my blog will document my learning journey. My goals are to: 1) Save money by eliminating hay waste 2) Allow full-time restricted access to the hay for my insulin-resistant mare as well as for my easy keeper and geriatric toothless wonder.
