Feeder box with extra wood and mesh
Additions

Be sure to look at my second slow feeder box on the next page. I am STILL THRILLED with this concept! 11/09

New addition on 3/29/09. Our horses got the grid out once in the first two weeks. I added a 2x4 on two opposite sides so that the grid can only come out at an angle.

I added the mesh over all four sides as one of the horses was chewing on the wood at a rapid pace.

It has been 5 days since the changes and so far we are not having any problems.

The three new pictures are taken with my cell phone, sorry about the quality!

New Video of Kydd and Design eating with the modifications on the slow feeder. My daughter Samantha and Jake are watching. We are two months into this and it is still GREAT! Our vet was out last week and said they all look good on weight, Kydd needs a LITTLE more and Jake needs to loose a little, Design is PERFECT! I have to say, this was the BEST thing for us!

My Barn My Rules
Need I say more! It is good to finally have our own barn to make and use our slow feeder for our horse Kydd who chokes on hay from eating too fast

I have to make a few changes, but all in all this is making a HUGE difference for us.

There are lots of things I wish I had understood before I started. If you have ANY questions, feel free to write. I am super busy until 4/11, after that I am more available.
