Paddock Paradise SeriesThis is a featured page

The Natural Horse Resource is producing a series on Paddock Paradise. Be sure to read all the interviews!

Part I (Our Own Tanglemanes' NY Paddock Paradise)
Part II (Due North Farm in Connecticut)
Part III (Blue Heron Farm in Middle Tennessee-our own pawsplus)
Part IV (Spotted T Apps in Florida)

Why?

Firstly, because the more people that find out about each other's Paddock Paradises - the challenges and the triumphs - the more we will learn and the better ALL of our Paddock Paradises will be!

Secondly, so that people interested in trying Paddock Paradise - who don't know where to start or what to expect - can see our case studies and gain know how to make their own!

What will we require:

The Natural Horse Resource is looking for proud Paddock Paradise owners who can do the following:

1) Answer ten questions on their Paddock Paradise experience (they will be emailed in a Word document).

2) Share a minimum of two photographs of their Paddock Paradise (hopefully at least one with the horses in it).

3) Supply an aerial view diagram to show how your Paddock Paradise is laid out (we can help to create one if necessary).

4) Supply a piece of footage showing the horses moving around the Paddock Paradise (but this is more on the wish list and not essential).

What you get in return:

1) Free advertising on our site for any services, website, blog etc that you wish to promote.

2) The sheer joy of knowing that our Paddock Paradise community is sharing details that will help others maintain their Paddock Paradises and give other horse owners the knowledge, support and the confidence to try and create one for themselves.

There will be a discussion thread on the forum about this, but if you've got any questions or you're interested in taking part then please contact 'naturalhorseresource' on this website or you can email us at the Natural Horse Resource: naturalhorseresource@gmail.com.

Thanks and we can't wait to hear from you!

tangledmanes FAQs on Tracks 0 Feb 23 2009, 9:55 AM EST by tangledmanes

I set up a new wiki sub-page to answer general Paddock Paradise questions, and for follow-up questions to the Paddock Paradise Series interviews. 'FAQs on Tracks.'
This could be a great place for anyone to post specific questions about turnout tracks! I would be happy to answer what I can, and I'd love to see others answer, too. I used a shade of green for my answers -- if other folks use a different color, it should be easy to keep track of who's saying what.
Not all the questions will pertain to every track, but feel free to jump in with your experience (or questions). It will certainly be appreciated.

I'll be glad to contribute any info that I can to help get others "on track." ;-) Our three drafty horses -- Stella, Ally, and Jewel -- went on their first Paddock Paradise track two years ago here in upstate New York.

I've been meaning to figure out how to do an aerial view diagram to show how we have it laid out. I know that Google Maps has an aerial view of the property, but I haven't tried printing it to draw lines, or manipulating it on my iMac like the more technically savvy folks know how to do -- do you have some tips on doing this?

Hi everybody,

The Natural Horse Resource (jhttp://naturalhorseresouce.blogspot.com) is looking for proud Paddock Paradise owners to take part in a 'Paddock Paradise Series'.

I've posted a sub-page under Paddock Paradise on this site with the details, but it's basically answering about ten questions and sending in some pictures of your PP. Have a look at the sub-page for more details (it's called 'Paddock Paradise Series').

We want to publish informative articles about people's Paddock Paradises in order to help others with their Paddock Paradises, and to encourage people who don't have a PP to try it by giving them the confidence, knowledge and some tips and tricks that we've learned along the way.

If you're interested, please contact me via this site or email me: naturalhorseresource@gmail.com.

Thanks and looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this.
