Vicki Kline is selling small mesh hay nets, called Hay Pockets. The mesh is like the hockey netting (1-3/8", nylon and no knots). The top has wooden dowels for easy open/close. Dowels are 36" long, width of the net at the top is 33". Length of the "pocket" is 26".

Depending on the size of the flakes, she's gotten as many as seven flakes in one pocket.

They are installed by putting 2 eye screws (provided) in the wall (or fence board), then tying one dowel securely to the screws. The second/front dowel closes the top of the net by means of double end brass snaps (provided), which makes it easy to open and close.
