Fantastic pictures!3
Hey, I think you're super!1

Hello, my name is Cyndi...

I have a 19 acre property in South Eastern Ontario with my husband Mark and my daughter Jen. We presently have three ponies (all mares) and three horses (1 mare & 2 geldings)

As soon as I found this site I could not wait to get started on a PP. My husband usually has nothing to do with the horses but he also thought this seemed like a good idea and has been helping me transform our land into a PP for my guys. We have a mix of pasture and woods. Unfortunately no water but a bit of swamp in the front that I am hoping we can dig out and make into a watering hole down the road. Our land is on a two step plateau so we have two small hills we can incorporate into our PP. We have never used the woods in 20 years as the footing was really rocky, so I am especially excited to get some track through it as my textured area. We live on 8" of dirt and endless limestone. My horses have always lived outside 24/7 with run in sheds as I have always preferred they live as naturally as I can have them. They have always had big fields to roam in, as I thought this was more natural then small ones, even though it makes pasture management difficult. I am so excited to get them on a track. I hope it works!

I look forward to sharing ideas with all of you...

This is our farm now. The black lines are the existing fence lines. The little rectangle along the edge of the woods is a run in shed and the larger rectangle by the round pen is another. You can also see our sand ring on the edge of the property behind our neighbour.

SAY HELLO!
Costalotta Farm 2
On this view the yellow lines show the track we have been installing. We started Easter weekend
cutting trails into the woods. On May 5th we got the 4 girls onto a small track around the field behind
the round pen. We are still trying to fence the woods. We introduced the passive gelding (Diego) onto the
track a few days later where he and the girls quickly developed a pecking order. The pink lines show track I
may have to install to make two tracks, one for boys and one for girls as our dominate gelding (Taxi)
may be too aggressive to go out with the others. The purple lines are for a future track. The spray of blue
by the number 11 is where I would like to dig out a watering hole. This area is already swampy and if I am lucky
we may find an underground spring.

Love your land and your lay out. We may still be able to get your place in the study that we are doing, seperate from the UK thing. Do you have measurements of your track? Do you spread resources around? Do you have everything in yellow lines installed?
